Located on the left bank of Bordeaux, Château Giscours is a historic property of the Margaux appellation with vines planted for the first time in the 16th century. This superb 3rd Classified Growth of Margaux is a true standard of the Bordeaux region, with its distinctive architecture resembling a neoclassical palace, its unique park and its buildings, including the beautiful "Ferme Suzanne". In 1995, Château Giscours entered a new era of its history following its acquisition by the Albada Jelgersma family.
Château Giscours 2017 is a Margaux wine made from a 95-hectare vineyards used for production that is poised on a 300-hectare total surface area. A real gem, the Château Giscours terroir stands out for its 3 outcroppings of deep Garonnaise gravel, which play a decisive role in the ripening cycle of the grapes.
Cabernet Sauvignon (71%)
Petit Verdot (5%).
Elegant and fragrant, almost sensual, the bouquet is marked by the purity of black fruit, blackcurrant and blackberry aromas. The delicious chocolate notes mingles with delicate spicy and floral nuances.
On the palate, all the finesse and refinement of Château Giscours’ signature style is expressed through a smooth texture, with a mellow mid-palate focused on the brightness of the fruit. The coated tannins structure this Margaux wine nicely and leads to a long, lingering, mineral and pure finish.
