For the 2014 harvest - 4th harvest certified AB (organic) and of which the very weak yield was of 9hl/ha - Château Giraud
was able to harvest the botrytis cinerea at his best stage in 4 successive pickings. In Sauternes, on its parcel, the pickings of Guiraud spread from September 17th to October 29th. Guiraud 2014
has an intense golden yellow robe and offers freshness and remarkable tensions on the nose. The smelling process is marked by spiced expressions (ginger, white pepper) completed by a delicious candied lemon and a few exotic hints that are more classic ( pineapple, mango). On the mouth, it offers a revivifying attack, of an undeniable accuracy - guarantee of the balance on the mid-palate - on a base of pure, quaffable and aery wine. The finish is strong. This sauternes
is a success!

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Composed of 65% Semillon and 35% Sauvignon Blanc, the pale lemon-gold colored 2014 Guiraud opens with notes of honeyed apricots, lemon marmalade and beeswax followed by touches of musk perfume and lightly browned toast. The palate is wonderfully refreshing with plenty of zippy citrus fruit and a long perfumed finish.
