Château La Garricq 2012

The Chateau la Garricq 2012 offers lilting blackberry and raspberry scents with touches of cedar and sandalwood. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, well-judged acidity and a rounded, silky smooth if simple finish. This is one of the better Moulis 2012s.

A very smooth, suave, and charming wine.

The nose reveals notes of dark fruits, subtle spices, with lighter hints of pepper and cocoa powder. The palate is fleshy, smooth, fruity, moderately complex and balanced. It shows notes of blackcurrant, blueberry, crushed strawberry and spices, combined with a touch of oak. The tannins are well handled.

A deeply colored, fruity wine with a soft, slightly light body. Medium length.
