Description
The powerful expression and aromatic harmony of a great Sauternes wine
The estate
A Sauternes Premier Cru Classé since 1855, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey is one of the most prestigious names in this iconic appellation for sweet wines, located towards the south of the Bordeaux region.
The vineyard
Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey has an exceptional terroir, with a 30-hectare vineyard exclusively reserved for the production of its Sauternes Premier Cru Classé.
Tasting
Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey 2007 is widely acclaimed by critics, with James Suckling describing it as "dense and rich, with a lot of character, aromas of dried banana and honey, full-bodied, moderately sweet, with some spices and a long, powerful finish". This cru seduces with its sumptuous style which combines power, a velvety smoothness, length and precision, resulting in a perfect style.
Blend
Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey 2007 is produced from a blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle.
