Description
The estate
Located in the heart of Cap Bénat, Château Léoube cultivates its vines, orchards and olive trees on one of the most beautiful protected sites in Europe. Boasting an ECOCERT certificate since 2011 (with Organic Farming label), Château Léoube has undertaken a true agro-environmental approach.
The vineyard
Located in Provence, Château Léoube covers 560 hectares, 65 of which are vineyards, in the hollow of a natural cove that protects the vines from the mistral wind. The vineyard is managed using certified organic-farming practices thus treating the environment with the utmost respect. This Var terroir, which has belonged to an English family for ten years, produces fine Côtes de Provence wines.
Vinification and ageing
Following an exclusively manual harvest, the grapes are transported to the estate where they are directly pressed. The extraction of the juice is carried out under a regulated temperature to preserve the freshness of the wine. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are carried out in stainless steel tanks. Bottling takes place between the end of winter and early spring after the wine has been naturally clarified.
