Full-bodied structure, first-class tannin, long finish, precise winemaking: the best Moussas ever.

This is slightly taut, defined by ample cedar and sandalwood notes that have the upper hand on the more modest red currant and damson plum flavors. Shows a sanguine edge through the finish, which has good length. For fans of the old-school style. Best from 2020 through 2029. 15,000 cases made.

This is a vastly improved estate, making impressively good wines in recent vintages. The wine is structured and tannic but also packed with black-currant fruits, good acidity and spice. It will take time to develop, so drink from 2025 at the earliest.

Fresher and juicier than some vins de Pauillac, there is integrity and structure to the fruit, but also a sense of fun and enjoyment. Sometimes tasting young Médocs you feel the producers are trying so hard that they have forgotten that wine is supposed to be fun, whereas with this the balance is pretty much right up there, full of pleasure with fine tannins. This continues a run of successful vintages for Lynch-Moussas. It's not the most long-living Pauillac, but is one to watch right now.

The oak steps into the frame here with greater effect, leading the nose with creamed baking spices ahead of ripe cassis and red plums. The palate has ample fleshy red-cherry and plum fruits, before smooth tannins make way for a nicely groomed finish. 79% cabernet sauvignon and 21% merlot. Try from 2021.

Tobacco, cigar box, blackberry and cedar create the character. On the palate, the wine is almost easy to drink with its soft tannins. There is a strong, olive and cedar overtone. The wine was produced from a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot.

Dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, delicate rim brightening. Distinct roasted aromas, some caramel, dark berry fruit, bouquet clearly marked by new wood. Medium body, red berry nuances, integrated tannins, salty-spicy finish.

Medium deep ruby red colour. Discreet nose showing some wood, graphite, tobacco and red currant notes. Medium bodied palate, fresh with a rather soft texture, fresh red fruit, some herbal notes, a hint of wood, and a medium towards long finish. Lighter and traditional style for long ageing.

Another Pauillac that showed beautifully (this appellation can be variable in 2015) was the 2015 Château Lynch-Moussas. A blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot, it offers a terrific bouquet of blackcurrants, toasty oak, lead pencil, and espresso. This medium to full-bodied, ripe, sexy, yet also fresh, Pauillac has loads of charm and texture as well as a forward, fruit-loaded style that's going to drink nicely for 10-15 years.

Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2015 Lynch-Moussas has a Nose of blackcurrants and stewed black plums with touches of fried herbs, sweaty leather, and pencil lead. The medium-bodied Palate is herbal and chewy, with just enough black fruits and a rustic finish.

Fruity, harmonious, balanced, made for relatively quick consumption, but with beautiful fruit and a rare tenderness for Pauillac.

With oak still somewhat pronounced, the 2015 is nonetheless well-equipped, with ample substance that should develop nicely. No hurry to drink it.

Medium garnet red. Bouquet well-typified of its terroir with cedar notes. After a few minutes the nose also begins to reveal fruit. On the palate, the wine is elegant, slightly creamy and perfectly balanced. The tannins are perfectly integrated and in symbiosis with the structure. A very pleasant wine for its ability to show itself from its youngest age and which is promising. Bravo.

Dark, intense colour with slight maturity. Moderately aromatic nose with fine toasted notes, followed by fruit. Tender on the palate from the attack, then fruity, savoury, pleasant, with a less structured body than the 2014 between the mid-palate and finish. However, its tenderness and aromas display considerable charm.
