Château Montus La Tire is a Tannat red wine produced in the Madiran appellation. This prestigious cuvée comes from a selection of the best grapes of the plot, with vines benefiting from steep slopes covered in round pebbles, with subsoils of red and multicoloured layers of clay. The wine is aged in new barrels for 24 months.
After a mild winter and spring, the vines began their early development before vine growth slowed due to a more lukewarm and dry summer. Finally, September rains helped the grapes reach optimal maturity before a perfect harvest.
At tasting, the Château Montus La Tyre 2016 reveals great drinkability and extreme freshness, developing fragrances of red fruits, blackberries and spices. This wine benefits from an exceptional terroir, which offers tannins that become finer over time. The wine also displays beautiful balance. The Château Montus La Tire 2016 is at once powerful, concentrated, fine, with a splendid tannic structure.
