Proudly overlooking the Gironde estuary since the beginning of the 19th century, the Château Phélan-Ségur vineyard is divided into four separate plots in the heart of the Saint-Estèphe appellation.
The 70 hectares of vines are planted in an exceptional clay soil in the Saint-Estèphe appellation.
The mild and rainy spring brought a rather early budding and flowering, suggesting a great potential for the vintage. The radiant summer was followed by an Indian summer, which created the perfect conditions just before the harvest.
Combining power and freshness, the 2019 vintage delivers a very high quality Château Phélan-Ségur. The colour is deep red with purplish reflections. On the nose, the aromas of ripe black fruit mingle with toasted notes to form a complex bouquet. On the palate, the Phélan-Ségur 2019 becomes quite juicy and crunchy, while offering a beautiful harmony, freshness and aromatic persistence.
