The estate
4th Classified Growth of Saint-Julien, Château Talbot is one of the iconic references of the Médoc. Acquired by Désiré Cordier in 1918, Château Talbot is now run by Nancy Bignon-Cordier and her husband, Jean-Paul Bignon.
The vineyard
Château Talbot 2010 is a wine from Saint-Julien produced from a vineyard extending over 105 hectares in a single block at the heart of the appellation. With an average age of 58 years, the vines benefit from soils composed of Médoc gravel.
Vinification and aging
The wine is aged in barrels, half of which are new barrels.

Cabernet Sauvignon (62%)
Merlot (33%)
Petit Verdot (5%).

Nose
Subtle, the nose reveals fruity fragrances (candied plums) and roasted notes mingled with hints of smooth oak.
Palate
Full-bodied, the palate is fleshy and offers great depth. The finish is seductive with its refined yet delicate tannins as well as delicious notes of licorice.
