Château Thieuley Réserve Francis Courselle 2016

 A box of 12 Bottles (75cl)

A balanced red from Bordeaux

Chateau Thieuley Reserve Francis Courselle is a red wine produced in the Bordeaux appellation. This 5 hectare vineyard is planted on a clay and gravel terroir. Wine maturation is a 9-12 month process. One-third is matured in new barrels, and the rest is aged in older barrels. 2016 is a blend of 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc.

Chateau Thieuley Reserve Frances Courselle 2016 develops aromas of cedarblackcurrantroasted notes and floral notes as well. The tannins are flexible and energetic. This wine favours a magnificent balance instead of overconcentration.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2016 Reserve Francis Couselle from Château Thieuley has a fragrant, quite floral bouquet with blackberry and dark plum fruit, well defined and Margaux-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, almost citrus-fresh black and red fruit with a touch of spice towards the finish. This is brimming with energy and it should drink well for several years after bottling. Just a delightful Bordeaux Supérieur that gives the region a good name. Recommended.
