The estate
Based in the high-altitude village of Ponte Leccia, Clos Venturi is one of Corsica’s newest estates, founded in the early 2000s from the division of the finest terroirs of the Vico estate, another property of Jean-Marc and Manu Venturi.
The vineyard
This Corsican estate watches over a vineyard of around twenty hectares.
The wine
"Altare" is a Vin de France white wine made from vines averaging 10 years old, planted on a terraced plot.
Vinification and aging
Hand-harvested, the grapes are 100% destemmed before a pre-fermentation maceration lasting 48 to 72 hours. Fermentation in foudres with indigenous yeasts. Aging lasts 14 months on fine lees in foudres, then 4 to 6 months in bottle before release.
