The estate
Nestled in Aloxe-Corton, Château Corton C. is rooted around a historic castle whose current architecture dates back to the late 19th century. Acquired by the Frey family in 2014-2015, it was entrusted to Caroline Frey, a renowned oenologist who also heads La Lagune (Bordeaux) and Paul Jaboulet Aîné (Rhône). Under her leadership, the vineyard converted to organic farming (certified in 2021) and is moving towards biodynamics, with a vision focused on biodiversity and precision in aging. The name "Château Corton C" gradually evolved to Domaine Caroline Frey, clearly asserting its director's signature. This continuity has resulted in more refined wines, combining energy, fruit purity and elegance.
The vineyard
This Auxey-Duresses wine comes from a 0.6035 ha plot, planted in 2014.
Grape variety
100% pinot noir.
