The estate
Created in 1986 by Francis and Christophe Delorme in the Rhône Valley, Domaine de la Mordorée now covers 60 hectares spread across six appellations: Tavel, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, Côtes-du-Rhône, Condrieu and Vin de France. Since Christophe’s passing in 2015, his widow Madeleine and their daughter Ambre have been running the family estate. The domaine stands out for its conversion to organic farming in 2013 and then biodynamic in 2020, as well as for its cuvées with poetic names inspired by nature.
The vineyard
La Plume du Peintre "À la Mémoire de Mon Père" comes from the prestigious terroir of Rhône Valley "La Crau". The century-old grenache vines thrive on this exceptional soil, benefiting from optimal sun exposure and a unique microclimate that gives the wine its richness and aromatic complexity.
The wine
This Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine is Ambre Delorme’s tribute to her father, Christophe, who for more than 30 years worked with passion and dedication to developing the domaine.
Winemaking and aging
Careful winemaking followed by aging in new oak barrels. This respectful approach preserves the pure expression of the fruit while providing the structure and complexity required for this exceptional, limited-production wine.
