Domaine de la Rectorie : Montagne 2020

Notes of strawberries, violet, red berries and flowers preface the 2020 Collioure Montagne, a moderately weighted, elegant and supple wine with freshness and notes of blackberries on the finish. This blend of 30% Grenache Noir, 30% Carignan, 30% Counoise and 10% Mourvèdre is a well-crafted, straightforward Collioure, though less deep than its 2022 counterpart.

Racy nose with raspberries and strawberries atop white pepper spices, dried herbs and a hint of chestnut. A lovely touch of dried-herb bitterness adds to the round, silky palate with suppleness and sweetness. Slightly warming, but still well-balanced. Drink or hold.
