The estate

Created in 1999, the ambition of the Domaine de la Vougeraie estate was to combine all the Premiers Crus, Grands Crus and Monopoles gradually acquired by the Boisset family since 1964, a family of wine merchants. Domaine de la Vougeraie is committed to a viticulture that pays attention to the vineyard's rhythm and thus produces wines that are described as prestigious Burgundian wines due to their precision, purity, elegance and aromatic richness. Domaine de la Vougeraie watches over 34 hectares of vines which are split into 67 plots.

The vineyard

The 2018 "Les Pierres Blanches" cuvée by Domaine de la Vougeraie is a Côte de Beaune wine that stems from a 2.213-hectare east-facing and mid-slope vineyard. This terroir has been certified in organic farming since 2001.

Vinification and ageing

A pneumatic pressing of whole bunches is followed by a 12-hour settling period. Fermentation begins in vats and is completed in barrels. Aged for 16 months in barrels (30% of which are new), with stirring of the lees, then two months in stainless steel tanks.
