Description
A rich and complex Côtes de Provence rosé by Domaine des Campaux
The estate
Domaine des Campaux is located in the heart of the Môle Valley, near Saint-Tropez, in Provence. Since 1934, this family-owned estate has been in the very capable hands of the Naveau family.
The vineyard
The 34-hectare vineyard enjoys a southern exposure and is cultivated on shallow schistose soil. Grass cover-cropping in winter, the soils are ploughed superficially and vine-stripping is carried out. Since 2018, Domaine des Campaux is committed to the environmental cause and is converting to Organic Farming.
The wine
OséRose 2021 by Domaine des Campaux is a Côtes de Provence wine made from the oldest and highest quality vines of the estate.
Vinification and ageing
The harvest takes place at night in order to preserve the freshness of the harvested grapes. The grapes are then taken to the estate to be pressed directly. The settled juice undergoes a low temperature fermentation. Racking preserves the fine lees which accompany the wine throughout its ageing period. Domaine des Campaux's OséRose 2021 is bottled as the season progresses in order to guarantee its flavour and freshness.
