Description
The typicity of a Burgundy Grand Cru
The estate
Founded in 1825, Domaine Faiveley is a pillar of Burgundian viticulture, with a seven-generation family history. Located in Nuits-Saint-Georges, it spans 134 hectares, covering prestigious terroirs of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte Chalonnaise. Today run by Erwan and Eve Faiveley, the estate is distinguished by its rare monopoles, such as the Corton Grand Cru Clos des Cortons Faiveley. Combining tradition and modernity, it embodies the pure expression of the terroirs, while contributing to the cultural renaissance of Burgundy.
The vineyard
The appellation Charmes-Chambertin is located in the Côte de Nuits, north of the Côte-d'Or. It is part of the Grands Crus of Gevrey-Chambertin, a wine-growing commune renowned for producing some of Burgundy's most prestigious Red wines.
Grape variety
This Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Joseph Faiveley 2019 from Domaine Faiveley is 100 % Pinot Noir.
