The estate

Established in Nuits-Saint-Georges since 1825, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Faiveley is among the most renowned estates in Burgundy. Since 2005, the seventh generation, represented by Erwan and Eve Faiveley, has passionately continued the family tradition. With a vineyard of over 120 hectares, the estate stands out for its scale and prestige, owning remarkable parcels in Grands Crus and Premiers Crus.

The vineyard

Originally based in the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Faiveley has gradually expanded its vineyard into the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Today, it holds 12 Grands Crus and 25 Premiers Crus of Bourgogne, an exceptional heritage. The “Champ Gain” plot, covering 10 hectares, is located just below “La Garenne,” on the heights of the wine-growing slope. Its name refers to the “gain of land from the forest.” Domaine Faiveley has owned it since 2014.

The wine

Le Clos du Roy "La Favorite" is a Mercurey wine from a 0.952-acre vineyard facing south/southwest and set on clay-limestone soil.

Grape variety

100% Pinot Noir.
