The estate
Founded in 1920 by Arsène and Flavie Amiot, the Domaine Guy Amiot et Fils spans 9 hectares in Chassagne-Montrachet in Bourgogne. Now run by the fourth generation of the Amiot family, this family estate cultivates century-old vines on clay-limestone soils, producing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Its plots include prestigious premiers crus such as La Maltroie and Les Champgains. Total financial independence and traditional viticulture distinguish this authentically Burgundian estate.
The vineyard
Le Clos Saint Jean is one of the most iconic plots in Chassagne-Montrachet, an emblematic terroir of Bourgogne. This premier cru vineyard benefits from a particularly favorable exposure and slope for berry ripening. Historically, this plot belonged to a Catholic institute in Autun before the parceling of the land following the French Revolution.
