The Estate
Founded in 1920 by Arsène Amiot in Chassagne-Montrachet in Burgundy, the Domaine Guy Amiot et Fils is today a renowned family-owned estate. Guy Amiot gave the domaine new momentum from 1985 onward, continuing a family legacy started by Flavie Amiot in the early 1900s. This Parisian businesswoman, owner of a laundry, led her family to acquire properties in this region. A pioneer of estate bottling since the 1930s, the domaine stands out for its commitment to tradition and quality.
The Vineyard
The "Les Macherelles" climat lies on the northern edge of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, neighboring the lieux-dits "Chenevottes" and "Vergers". This plot benefits from an east-facing exposure on the appellation’s characteristic clay-limestone soils. The 35-year-old vines are rooted in a terroir of clay and deep limestone elements, from which the roots draw water and nutrients.
Grape Variety
100% Chardonnay.
