A Chablis Premier Cru from an exceptional vintage
The estate
A leading name in Chablis, in Burgundy, Domaine Laroche stands out for its unique historical heritage, which dates back to the 9th century. Part of the Advini group since 2009, Domaine Laroche is renowned for the precision, elegance and aromatic richness of its wines, which authentically express the subtlety of the climats of Chablis.
The vineyard
Clay-limestone marls and Kimmeridgian limestone are widespread here. This limestone rock is rich in marine fossils, notably small oysters known as Exogyra virgula. This composition gives the wines a characteristic minerality, along with remarkable complexity and finesse. Surrounded by forest, this terroir is marked by a steep slope and a particularly cold climate. It produces wines with an aromatic profile reminiscent of flint.
The vintage
The 2021 vintage in Chablis, marked by challenging climatic conditions such as early frosts and unsettled weather, resulted in limited production. Nevertheless, this year promises exceptional wines with rich aromatic concentration and pronounced acidity.
