Description
A Grand Cru from Chablis, sunny and refined, born from a historic clos
The estate
An emblematic figure of Chablis, the Domaine Laroche has its origins in a millennial heritage, dating back to the 9th century. Since its integration into the Advini group in 2009, it perpetuates a tradition of demand and precision, signing wines of remarkable elegance. Each cuvée highlights the uniqueness of the Chablis climates, through respectful viticulture and tailor-made vinifications.
The vineyard
The Grand Cru "Les Clos", one of the most famous in Chablis, takes its name from the walled enclosure that once protected it. This vineyard was planted as early as the 9th century by the monks of the Abbey of Saint Martin de Tours. Facing south, facing the village, it benefits from generous sunshine that promotes a complete maturity of the grapes. The well-drained soil ensures excellent concentration, both in acidity and in aromatic expression, offering powerful, structured Chablis wines with great longevity.
Vinification and aging
The grapes are hand-picked, then carefully sorted upon their arrival at the winery. Aging on fine lees, in stainless steel tanks and in French oak barrels, helps to preserve the natural freshness of the wine while enriching its texture and complexity.
Grape variety
The Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" 2023 from Domaine Laroche is a 100% chardonnay.
