The Estate

While the family's winemaking history dates back to 1793, it was following profound changes in 1983 that Domaine Pierre Morey gained its independence in its current form. Located in Meursault, in Burgundy, this estate is a true pioneer of biodynamic viticulture, certified as early as 1997. Today, founder Pierre Morey manages the estate in close collaboration with his daughter Anne Morey and his grandson Victor Morey. Together, they carry on a philosophy centred on soil health and the pure expression of terroir.

The Vineyard

Located at the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the Meursault terroir benefits from an ideal microclimate at an altitude of around 240 metres. The cuvée comes from the "Terres Blanches" lieu-dit, characterised by its white, chalky limestone soils, which give the wine its distinctive minerality. The entire vineyard is cultivated according to the rigorous principles of biodynamics, incorporating lunar cycles, the use of plant-based preparations, and the rejection of synthetic fertilisers to foster a living ecosystem.

The Vintage

The year 2022 offered particularly mild weather conditions that were favourable to the growing cycle, allowing the grapes to reach optimal phenolic ripeness while preserving a lovely natural freshness.

Winemaking and Ageing
