The richness and silky texture of a Red wine from the Rhône Valley

The estate
Renowned for its commitment to artisanal viticulture respectful of the terroir and environment, the Famille Perrin has established itself as an emblematic figure of the great wines of the Rhône Valley. Pioneers in organic viticulture as early as 1950, then biodynamic from 1974, the Perrins produce high-standing cuvées internationally praised for their finesse and quality.

The vineyard
Located on mid-slopes, this vineyard of Gigondas rests on a complex soil combining limestone, limestone marl, clay and safres. The northwest-facing vines benefit from ideal slope conditions to express the full richness of the terroir.

The vintage
The 2022 vintage was marked by extreme weather conditions, with an exceptionally dry and warm winter and spring, ensuring excellent vine health. The sunny summer, tempered by timely rains in August, allowed for slow and optimal ripening of the grapes. Harvesting began early under very good conditions.

Vinification and aging
The harvest is hand-picked, followed by meticulous sorting and destemming. The long malolactic fermentation is punctuated by manual punch-downs to optimize extraction. Aging takes place over one year in wooden tronconical vats and in large oak casks.

Blend
Grenache, Syrah
