Description
The vivacity and balance of a great white wine from Southern Australia
The estate
Henschke is a renowned family estate located in the Barossa wine region of Australia, with a viticultural history dating back over 150 years. Known for its commitment to sustainable and artisanal viticultural practices, the Henschke family is dedicated to producing expressive wines that reflect the unique character of their terroirs. Henry’s Seven pays tribute to a visionary ancestor, Henry Evans, a pioneer of viticulture in this region in the 19th century.
The vineyard
Henschke's Louis Semillon 2017 is a white wine from Eden Valley made from a selection of vines over 50 years old, planted in 1968 on the family estate, in the Keyneton region. Since 1995, this wine has paid tribute to his brother, Louis Edmund Henschke (1919-1990), also a winemaker of the fourth generation of the famous Hill of Grace vineyard.
