Description
Great energy and utterly elegant, a fine Chablis wine
The estate
Truly in tune with the times, the Jean-Marc Brocard estate is one of the most important and influential producers of organic wines in the Burgundy region today. This is why he has always endeavoured to implement sustainable principles, by restricting human intervention in order to best reveal the authenticity of the Chablis climates. These skilful practices result in frank, firm, pure and mineral wines.
The vineyard
The Jean-Marc Brocard estate covers 200 hectares in the heart of Chablis, of which 40 hectares are cultivated in a biodynamic manner and 66 using organic practices. This Chablis 1er Cru "Vaulorent" 2020 wine is made from Chardonnay vines that fringe the Les Preuses Grand Cru vineyard, thus they produce similar quality grapes. The soil is clay-limestone and the vineyard is east-facing.
The vinification and ageing
The alcoholic fermentation is done with wild yeasts. The wine is aged in tuns for 14 months.
The blend
Chardonnay (100%).
