A former Cistercian monastery located in the heart of the Rheingau wine region, Kloster Eberbach has been producing wine for almost nine centuries. As a member of the prestigious Verband Deustcher Prädikats (VDP), this estate is one of the largest and most prestigious wine producers in Germany.

Kloster Eberbach's Assmannshäuser Höllenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs is a Rheingau wine that stems from the Assmannshausen terroir, a place where the Pinot Noir variety has been thriving for many centuries. The name "Höllenberg" historically refers to a steeply sloping terroir. This wine is made from very high quality plots of land, which benefit from a southern exposure.
