The Chablis Premier Cru Vaulorent 2018 by La Chablisienne is produced from vineyards located on the right bank of the Serein. Neighbouring Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses, this Premier Cru enjoys perfect south-west exposure. The vines, which are around 30 years old, are planted on soils composed of limestone and marl which date from Middle and Upper Kimmeridgian times.
Winemaking and ageing
Cold, static settling before starting fermentation. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are carried out in tanks. Ageing lasts for 15 months on fine lees and in tanks and barrels.
The Chablis Premier Cru Vaulorent 2018 by La Chablisienne is 100% Chardonnay.
The wine is a clear and bright light white-gold colour.
The first nose opens with notes of white fruits, with slight notes of vanilla and spices. Over aeration, the terroir is exhaled through a refreshing complexity, mixed with intense, fruity fragrances and a beautiful persistence.
The fresh and elegant palate seduces with its delicate notes of almond and ripe fruit.
