A rich and balanced Burgundy Premier Cru

The Estate

Founded in 1797 by Jean Latour in Aloxe-Corton, Louis Latour remains an independent family estate run since 1999 by Louis-Fabrice Latour, the 11th generation. As the largest owner of Grands Crus in the Côte d'Or, with emblematic plots such as Corton and Chevalier-Montrachet, this Burgundy house extends across the Côte d'Or, Chablis, and Beaujolais. Its uniqueness lies in its exclusively Burgundian expansion strategy and its commitment to maintaining accessible prices despite exceptional land value appreciation.

The Vineyard

The "Les Chatelots" climat takes its name from the Latin "Castellum" meaning water reservoir. Located in the Chambolle-Musigny appellation, this limestone terroir stretches across a village in the Côte de Nuits with 180 hectares of vines and 24 premiers crus. The clay-limestone soils impart a delicately perfumed and harmonious signature to the wines, characteristic of this renowned appellation.

Winemaking and Aging

Traditional vinification in open vats with full malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels from the Louis Latour cooperage, with 40% new oak and medium toasting, allowing the wine to develop complexity while preserving the expression of the terroir.

Grape Variety

Pinot Noir (100%).
