The estate
The Louis Latour House is one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy still owned by the founding family. The Latour family began acquiring vineyards in Côte de Beaune as early as 1731, and Jean Latour settled in Aloxe-Corton in 1768, where he developed a major wine estate. Owner of exceptional plots in Aloxe-Corton, including the prestigious Corton Grèves and Corton Bressandes, this estate stands out for its historic winery.
The vineyard
Chambolle-Musigny is one of the smallest appellations in the Côte de Nuits, renowned for its delicately perfumed and elegant wines. This cuvée is made from vines averaging 30 years old, flourishing on clay-limestone soils that give the wine its characteristic finesse.
Vinification and aging
Traditional vinification in open vats. Full malolactic fermentation. The aging process, lasting 10 to 12 months, takes place in French oak barrels from the estate’s own cooperage.
Grape variety
100% Pinot Noir.
