The Estate

Founded in 1797 by Jean Latour in Beaune, the domaine Louis Latour remains an independent family-run house led by the eleventh generation in Burgundy. Former coopers turned winemakers, the Latour family owns the largest Grand Cru domain in the Côte d'Or. Pioneers of modern vinification techniques, they combine innovation and tradition, preserving historic cellars and century-old vines.

The Vineyard

The "Les Beaux Monts" climat of Vosne-Romanée benefits from an exceptional iron-rich clay terroir, particularly favorable to the expression of Pinot Noir. Vines averaging 30 years old produce controlled yields of 38 hectoliters per hectare, guaranteeing concentration and quality.

Vinification and Aging

The grapes are vinified using the traditional method in open vats with complete malolactic fermentation. Aging takes place over 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels from the Louis Latour cooperage, 40% of which is new wood with medium toast.
