Vinification and ageing
The hand-picked grapes are 100% destemmed before vinification. Slow fermentation in small concrete vats. Long maceration (over 4 weeks). Exclusive use of free-run wine. Aged for 16 to 18 months in barrels (some of which are new, as well as first and second-fill barrels).
The colour is a beautiful dark garnet.
The nose blends fragrances of very ripe black fruit jam with smoky and mineral notes.
Smoky and peppery notes on the palate. Tight tannins stretch to a persistent finish.
