Penfolds : RWT Barossa Valley Shiraz 2010

Of a deep red colour with purple hues, the Penfolds RWT Shiraz 2010 reveals a nose of blackberry, blueberry, plum along with meat, spices and minerality. On the palate is wide and dense with velvety tannins and a very long finish. Flavours of chocolate, red fruits and coffee are still very present and luscious. In 1995 the RWT or "Red Winemaking Project" started at the Penfolds Estates, aiming at developing a red wine from Syrah vines of a single region, the Barossa Valley. The result is a very fruity wine, supple and of a more elegant and finer texture.
