St Henri 2012 from Penfolds : an Australian red wine with fine and delicate tannins
A red wine that blends 97% Shiraz and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, St Henri 2012 from Penfolds is produced in Australia. This wine comes from vineyards in various regions (Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, Robe, Clare Valley). The wine is aged for 13 months in large oak vats, which are over 50 years old.
The St. Henri 2012 of Penfolds displays a deep red crimson colour. The nose releases fragrances of red currants, red licorice and rhubarb. The wine then reveals on the nose earthy notes and game. Solid in the mouth, the wine offers flavours of juniper, cinnamon, nutmeg and dry herbs, before tasty touches of white chocolate, mocha and praline. The tannins are well integrated, fine and delicate. The St Henri 2012 is very well balanced. To be consumed before 2045.
