Writings from 1606 testify that from the Middle -Ages on, Treviso Hills were already naturally suitable for the production of excellent white wines "sought after in Venice, Germany and even at the Polish Court"... The Adami vineyard is located in front of the Dolomites, yet it is protected by a warm southern light. In 1920, Abele Adami purchased this vineyard, located in a natural amphitheatre, on the Conegliano hills, Valdobbiadene. In the 1980s, the third generation takes control of the estate. Armando and Franco Adami give a new impulse to the winemaking procedures, and combine traditions and more modern techniques. Nowadays, Adami produces 700 000 bottles from 50 hectares of vineyard. It is one of the 5 best producers with its Prosecco Superiore DOCG and DOC Cartizze.
