It was following his intuition that Eduardo Chadwick decided to team up with Robert Mondavi with the aim of creating an exceptional wine produced in Chile.
President of the Chile Viña Errázuriz, Eduardo Chadwick has been recognised as one of the world's 50 most influential figures in the wine industry. Today, he is one of the most emblematic ambassadors of Chilean wines throughout the world.
Considered one of the greatest pioneers of New World wines, Robert Mondavi is today an icon in the world of wine. Robert Mondavi revealed the potential of California's Napa Valley to the world when he launched his Cabernet Sauvignon Robert Mondavi Winery in the late 1960s.
Seña was born of the ambition of Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi.
For 4 years, the two men set out in search of the best terroir. It was in the heart of the magnificent Aconcagua Valley, north of Santiago in Chile, that Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi found what was to become a jewel of a vineyard. The two men acquired 350 hectares of virgin land and planted 40 hectares of vines with grape varieties typical of the Bordeaux region. Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Carmenère are all present, along with biodynamically-grown vines.
Today, Seña has become a benchmark in Chile and one of the greatest wines in the world.
