Tasting notes

Colour
The colour reveals a pale yellow hue with golden highlights, enhanced by a brilliant shine and subtle green nuances typical of its youth.

Nose
Particularly aromatic, the nose exudes notes of citrus fruit (lemon, lime) and ripe fruit, intertwined with delicate floral fragrances reminiscent of acacia and linden blossom. Subtle hints of spiced pastry and a chalky minerality complete this bouquet.

Palate
Soft and fleshy, the palate seduces with its lovely texture and pleasant roundness. Carried by a refreshing acidity and a mineral backbone, it stretches into a rich and lingering finish.

Food and wine pairing

This white wine pairs wonderfully with a seafood platter (oysters, mussels), white-fleshed fish, or aged goat cheeses and Comté. It also pairs very well with traditional dishes such as Burgundy snails in garlic and parsley butter, summer salads, or roasted poultry with herbs.

Service and storage

To fully appreciate this Bourgogne Aligoté 2022, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 7 and 12°C. Decanting is generally not necessary. This wine can be enjoyed now and will continue to evolve favourably until around 2027.

The authentic, mineral expression of a white Burgundy wine

The estate

Founded in 1981 by Régis Bouvier, a fifth-generation winegrower, the estate was initially established on two hectares in Marsannay-la-Côte, Burgundy. Renowned for his rare mastery of all three wine colours, the producer gradually expanded his vineyard. Following his retirement in 2019, his brother, Bernard Bouvier, now heads the estate. He continues the family legacy by integrating these lands into his own estate, while maintaining the exacting quality standards and respectful approach to terroir that have built the brand's renown.

The vineyard

The grapes for this Bourgogne wine come from plots located in the lower terroirs of Marsannay. The vines, averaging 35 to 50 years old, thrive on a mosaic of soils composed of limestone, marl, clay, gravel, and ferruginous sand. The vineyard is managed according to the principles of sustainable farming, favouring mechanical soil work, the use of compost, and hand-harvesting for the finest plots, in order to preserve the health of the vines and the quality of the berries.

The vintage

2022 offered particularly favourable weather conditions, allowing the grapes to reach excellent physiological ripeness. This mild growing cycle encouraged the development of sun-drenched berries while preserving the region's characteristic natural acidity.

Winemaking and aging

True to the estate's historic philosophy, the making of the Bourgogne Aligoté 2022 favours an approach aimed at preserving the freshness and primary expression of the fruit. This is achieved through fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and early bottling, without marked oak influence, in order to fully convey the purity and minerality of the terroir.
