Since its creation in 1928 by Henri Claudius Trénel, the Maison Trénel has enjoyed renown for its for its fruit liqueurs and wines from the great terroirs of Burgundy and Beaujolais.
Combining respect for family tradition with a constant quest for quality and authenticity, Maison Trénel works with a number of winemakers, including the emblematic M. Chapoutier.
La Madone 2019 from Trenel is the first wine to be 100% produced from the estate's own vines. It is a Fleurie wine, an appellation at the heart of the Beaujolais crus.
Facing south/south-west on slightly sloping ground, the 50-year-old vines are planted on granite soil at an altitude of around 425 metres, giving the wine a rare freshness and remarkable finesse.
