Other Characteristics

A White Chablis Wine with a Rich Historical Heritage
The Estate
Founded in 1957 by the visionary William Fèvre, heir to a winemaking lineage spanning more than two and a half centuries, the eponymous estate is a respected institution in Burgundy. While the first commercial harvest took place in 1959 from seven inherited hectares, the estate has developed methodically over the decades. Today, it oversees a vast vineyard of more than 70 hectares. Since January 2024, the estate has entered a new chapter in its history following its acquisition by Domaines Barons de Rothschild.
The Vineyard
The estate relies on a vineyard of more than 70 hectares, meticulously assembled over time. Far from any opportunistic acquisitions, the plots were selected for the quality of their historic terroirs. The estate thus illustrates the full diversity of Chablis across the appellation's four classification levels. It notably holds 15 hectares classified as Premier Cru as well as 6 hectares of Grand Cru, offering a complete expression of this terroir.
The Vintage
The 2021 vintage will remain etched in memory as one of the most complex and challenging the region has had to face in its recent history.
