Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet covers an area of over 3 hectares and a half. The wines from the appellation Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet come exclusively from the commune of Puligny-Montrachet. Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet belongs to the five grands crus of the Côte de Beaune (the others being Bâtard-Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Criots-Bâtards-Montrachet and Montrachet). The vines planted in this appellation are located at between 240 and 250 metres of altitude and benefit from rather thick clay soils. In Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet only white wines are produced. These Chardonnay wines are generally structured, harmonious and offer an extremely rich bouquet.
