Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru 2015 by Bouchard Père & Fils: a fine and powerful red wine
Chapelle-Chambertin is a legendary Grand Cru appellation in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin. In 1155, monks built a chapel on this plot, which lies close to Clos-de-Bèze. The Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru from Bouchard Père & Fils is a single-varietal red wine made from Pinot Noir. The vines grow on marly clay-limestone soils. The wine is aged in oak barrels (45 to 60% of them new) for an average of 12 to 14 months.
On the nose, this Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru 2015 from Bouchard Père & Fils reveals an intense and complex bouquet with predominantly fruity and spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is both powerful and refined. This exceptionally generous cuvée can be cellared for more than 10 years.
