A Premier Cru Harmoniously Expressing Burgundian Purity

The Estate

Established in 2004 following the division of the Michel Colin-Deleger family estate, the Bruno Colin estate covers 8.55 hectares in Burgundy, spread across Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Dezize-les-Maranges. Bruno Colin, owner and manager, cultivates 22 climats including 8 Premier Crus in Chassagne-Montrachet. The estate stands out for its pursuit of purity and freshness, moving away from traditional rich styles to produce energetic and crystalline wines.

The Vineyard

The "Les Vergers" climat is located in the lieu-dit Les Pasquelles in Chassagne-Montrachet, covering an area of 33 ares and 82 centiares. The vines, planted in 1974 and 1986, thrive on clay-limestone soils characteristic of the appellation. Vineyard management follows a reasoned approach with mechanical soil work and plowing.

Winemaking and Aging

After hand harvesting with sorting, the Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru "Les Vergers" benefits from 12 months of aging in oak barrels, including 20 to 25% new barrels. This phase is followed by 3 to 6 months of tank aging, allowing the wine to develop its complexity while preserving its characteristic freshness.

Grape Variety

100% Chardonnay.
