The Médoc signature of cassis, menthol and mint has really settled in over ageing, and this is an enjoyable Citran, with a slightly rustic finish.

Blackcurrant, chocolate, dried mint and licorice on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with firm, tightly knit tannins. Sleek and fresh. Better from 2024.

A Cabernet Sauvignon–dominated wine, medium-bodied, earthy, straightforward and direct, with red currant, cedar, tobacco, and herb notes. The wine has filled out a bit since it was in barrel. Drink from 2022–2036.

Deep dark ruby, purple reflections, delicate bright rim. Attractive nose of fresh figs and chocolate, a hint of cardamom, candied orange zest. Juicy, delicate wood savouriness, juicy cherry fruit, integrated tannins, mineral, easy to drink, with potential.

Kunz barrel sample 19: slender, red-berry bouquet, currants, red cherries, oak. Light, firm palate with sweet fruit, sandy tannins, medium aromatics, dry finish.

Fairly tight but fruity, good support, good energy, decent.

Dark, intense colour. Moderately aromatic, fruity nose. Easy, fruity palate, lacking density. A little short.

This textured, fruity wine is given a firm edge by the tannins. The structure provides an important element in the wine's potential, balancing attractive black-currant flavors with a dry core. The wine should age, so drink from 2025.
