An altitude rosé with mineral notes from Provence
The estate
Founded in 1610 in the village of Trets, the Château Grand Boise now spans 500 hectares, including 40 hectares of vineyards. Since February 2026, the estate has been owned by Jean Simonet, Ana-Sofia Simonet, and Romain Tosolini. Jean Simonet, operations director since 2013, has overseen a complete transformation of the estate, including replanting 70% of the vineyard and converting to organic farming (certified in 2014) and then biodynamic farming (certified in 2022). Located facing the Sainte-Victoire mountain, the estate produces wines from one of the highest vineyards in Provence, between 300 and 650 meters above sea level.
The vineyard
Château Grand Boise 2025 comes from the Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire appellation. The vineyard benefits from a continental climate protected from maritime influences by the Sainte-Victoire and Sainte-Baume mountain ranges. The soils display remarkable diversity, with gray limestone, marl, clay, and pink marble visible in certain plots. This exceptional altitude creates a temperature variation of 20°C between day and night, promoting the preservation of freshness and aromatic intensity. The 40 hectares of vines are divided into 92 to 94 small plots cultivated using organic and biodynamic farming, without herbicides or chemical fertilizers.
Winemaking and aging
The harvest for Château Grand Boise 2025 is carried out manually in several selective passes, early in the morning to preserve the freshness of the grapes. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, an uncommon practice in Provence that allows the terroir to be fully expressed. Aging is carried out mainly in neutral containers to preserve the natural expression of the fruit and minerality.
Grape varieties
Grenache and Cinsault.
