Description
The balance and richness of a Margaux red wine
The estate
With its elegant neoclassical style, Château Labégorce is a property in the Margaux appellation, renowned for several centuries for the quality of its wines. In 1989, the Perrodo family acquired this estate and invested their energy to elevate it to the height of its potential and to bring out the very best of this great terroir on the Left Bank of Bordeaux.
The vineyard
Château Labégorce 2021 is a Margaux wine that stems from a 62.5-hectare vineyard in the Margaux AOC and a 4.5-hectare vineyard in the Haut-Médoc appellation. The vines are 30 years old on average and are planted on sandy-gravelly and sandy-silty soils, both typical features of the Margaux appellation.
Vinification and ageing
Harvesting from September 23rd to October 19th. Aged in barrels (35% new) stemming from large French forests (Belleme, Moselle, Allier, Rambouillet).
The blend
Château Labégorce 2021 comprises a blend of Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), Petit Verdot (6%) and Cabernet Franc (4%).
