The vineyard
Château Léoville Barton covers 50 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation. The vines, aged 38 years on average, are planted in gravel upon a clay subsoil and give rise to fine Saint-Julien wines.
Vinification and ageing

Gentle extraction accompanied by pumping over. Maceration for around 3 weeks before running off in batches into barrels. Aged for 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels (60% new).
The blend
