Gorgeous floral fragrance on the nose. Soft and creamy, a nice velvety edge to the tannins that nicely counters the quite bright but cooling acidity – blueberries and cola. Good structure and well made with a soft but fresh chewy aspect on the finish. 3.61pH. Ageing 14 months, 30% new barrels, 70% one and two years.

Flowers, smoke, black cherries, and background notes of blue fruits are easy to read in the perfume. On the palate, the wine is creamy, fresh, and juicy, with gorgeous, ripe berries topped with just a hint of chocolate. This is already easy to taste, and will provide pleasure for more than a decade from here. The wine is a blend of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot. Coffee, roasted beans, cocoa and dusted almonds, enjoyable, good lift, this is savoury but with a ton of fruit character. A clay-dominant vineyard, Merlot dominated wine, 3.61pH. Harvest September 16 to 23, 30% new oak. In organic conversion.

Beyond nuances of fresh wood, the bouquet reveals notes of iris, blueberries and licorice. Carried by velvety, perfectly integrated tannins, the wine offers pleasing power in keeping with the structuring character of its acidity. A flavorful wine whose freshness is underscored by fine, subtle bitterness.

A subtle, vanilla-tinged nose over dark berries; a fruit-driven palate, already approachable, crisp, with fine, ripe tannins and good aromatic length. Shows more finesse than in other vintages.
