Cordero Di Montezemolo watches over a vineyard comprised of nearly 51 hectares, situated in the exceptional terroirs of the Barolo appellation. The estate's wines are renowned well beyond the Italian borders for their complexity, power and great ageing potential.
Produced within the Barolo appellation, Cordero di Montezemolo's 2018 Enrico VI is made from a selection of old vines, some are over 60 years old, stemming from the Castiglione Falletto vineyard. South-west facing and situated at an altitude of 300 metres, this 2.2-hectare terroir is composed of soils rich in iron oxides and is made up of clay, silt and sand.
The vinification and ageing
Hand-picked at the beginning of October, the grapes are fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks for about 10 days. Following the racking process, malolactic fermentation is carried out in different-sized barrels from France and Slavonia. The wine is aged for 18 to 19 months in barrels, followed by a further 18 to 20 months of bottle ageing before the wine is released.
This 2018 Cordero di Montezemolo Enrico VI is a 100% Nebbiolo.

Full and generous, this wine seduces the palate due to its smoothness and its highly elegant tannins.

This Barolo wine can be kept in the cellar until at least 2030, enabling it to fully express its range of aromas.
