The estate

The Domaine de la Vougeraie was established in 1999 with the ambition to bring together, under one estate, all the Premier Crus, Grand Crus and Monopoles gradually acquired by the Boisset family, wine merchants, since 1964. Advocating a viticulture that listens to its vineyard, the Domaine de la Vougeraie gives birth to cuvées which, by their precision, their purity, their elegance and their aromatic richness, are recognised as prestigious Burgundy wines. The Domaine de la Vougeraie oversees a terroir of 34 hectares of vines spread over 67 plots.

The vineyard

The Grèves 2022 from the Domaine de la Vougeraie is a Beaune wine Premier Cru from a 0.33 ha plot, facing east on a hillside on particularly calcareous pure loam soils.

Vinification and ageing

Gravity-fed vatting. Pre-fermentation maceration at low temperature (12-15°C) for 5 days. Total vatting time of 17 days, accompanied by two punch-downs then a light pumping over per day until the end of the vatting. Ageing for 15 months in barrels (of which 20% are new) and 1 month in stainless steel tank.
