Description
An elegant and complex Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru wine
The estate
Founded in 1999, the Domaine de la Vougeraie embodies the Boisset family’s ambition to unite under one entity all of the exceptional terroirs acquired since 1964. From Premiers Crus, Grands Crus and Monopoles, the estate has forged a strong identity around a demanding viticulture, attentive to the expression of the living. In pursuit of balance and purity, each cuvée of the domaine faithfully reflects the richness of the Burgundian climats.
The vineyard
Today, this Burgundian domaine cultivates 34 hectares of vines spread across 67 meticulously worked plots.
The wine
Originating from the famous Morgeot climat, immediately adjacent to an ancient chapel that gave its name to the wine, the Premier Cru “Clos de la Chapelle” is a historic parcel of Chassagne-Montrachet. This clos, farmed according to biodynamic principles, is one of the jewels of the Côte de Beaune. It follows the tradition of Cistercian clos, combining rigor and heritage.
Grape variety
This Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru “Clos de la Chapelle” Monopole 2022 from Domaine de la Vougeraie is made exclusively from Chardonnay.
